Marlon Woods, 25, is on the path to becoming an professional
athlete after completing his collegiate Track and Field career when
he graduated from Florida State University, where he received his
Bachelor’s in Sociology. Woods is highly recognized locally and
nationally for his impressive performances in track and field
specializing in the jumping events. His major accomplishments so far in this sport consist of : USTFCCCA SouthEast Region Field Athlete of the year in 2008, NCAA Long Jump All American in 2009, 3 time MEAC Most Outstanding Performer in 2008 and 2009 (indoor & outdoor), and 6 time MEAC High Jump Champion from 2007 to 2009. Even though Woods has made many accomplishments in the recent years in a plethora of events, he is now focusing all of his attention in one event, the Long Jump. He is striving to become the best Long Jumper and surpass the current Long Jump world record of 8.95 meters. As of now, Woods is preparing himself to compete at the 2015 World Championships in Bejing, China and is setting his sites on bringing home a medal at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.
